Pebble Pirates
This 8-week climbing program is designed for children ages 5–7 who are ready to explore climbing in a fun, supportive environment. Our next session begins Monday September 14, 2026. Led by experienced youth climbing instructors, each 1.5-hour session helps young climbers develop movement skills, coordination, confidence, and problem-solving through age-appropriate instruction, climbing games, and activities.
Participants will learn how to climb smarter, not harder, while also developing good climbing gym etiquette, including taking turns, encouraging others, and practicing safe behavior around climbers. The emphasis is on building a lifelong love of climbing while having fun with friends.
The program meets Mondays from 5–6:30 PM and runs in continuous 8-week sessions with rolling enrollment. New participants are welcome to join at any time and will receive a full 8-week session beginning on their enrollment date. After completing a session, participants have the option to extend their enrollment and continue building their climbing skills in future sessions for an additional fee.
The program is limited to 10 participants, with a minimum of 4 participants required for the class to run. Parents are welcome to stay and watch, but are not required to remain during the session.
If your child is not already a Rocksport member, an 8-week youth membership is included with enrollment. This membership allows the child to return and climb outside of club hours with a parent or guardian serving as their chaperone (required for climbers under 14). Rental climbing shoes are also included for participants who do not have their own.

Before enrolling in a Youth Climbing Club program, each climber must complete one Intro to Climbing Youth class. Returning club participants do not need to repeat the intro class, but are welcome to attend if they would like a refresher.
The Intro to Climbing Youth classes will take place one week before the start of each season. During this session, climbers will learn the fundamentals of climbing, including safety orientation, climbing gym etiquette, names of walls and holds, basic techniques, and how to navigate the climbing environment.
Two intro sessions will be offered the week before the program begins: Monday and Wednesday from 5:00–6:00 PM. Please select your preferred session during registration.
